Role: Designer & Developer
Photographer Carrie Levy explores themes of identity and exposure in her work. She approached me to design a site that would display her photography without getting in the way.
I created a design that is so minimal as to be ascetic—as naked as the figures in Levy’s photographs. Small, quiet typography maintains a comfortable readability without imposing itself upon the photos. The photos are presented as large as possible, both to reflect the large format that Levy works in and to best mimic the experience of seeing them in person. A neutral color palette creates a welcoming space for the photos to inhabit.
